Called

Reading the chain

Every coin starts on Pump

A window opens before the coin exists. Only wallets that have posted a callout on pump.fun can buy into it, and the order they arrive in sets the price they pay.

Are you on the list? reads only, signs nothing

One callout on pump.fun is enough. Three more proofs are read off the chain, and a fourth is shown and never counted.

How a window runs

Four steps, in order, because the order is the mechanism.

01

A window opens, with no coin in it

The creator picks a name, a ticker, a logo and a length. Nothing is minted. A pump.fun coin cannot be locked once it exists, so the only way to hold a window open is to not have created the coin yet.
02

Callers send SOL

Every transfer is checked against pump.fun's own records before it counts. A wallet that has never called a coin gets its money sent straight back, usually within a minute.
03

The queue sets the price

Each buy is priced on the exact curve the coin will trade on, at the point the queue has already walked it to. Earlier is cheaper. The last buyer in a window still enters within about one percent of the opening price.
04

It launches, and the tokens go out

At close the coin is created on pump.fun and the pooled SOL buys the curve, both in the same transaction, so nothing can get in between them. Everyone in the queue is paid out. Nobody has to claim.
